Otherwise they are doing pretty well. Max is now 2 lbs 6 oz and Luke was really on the climb but then they stopped his feedings for a day because he had a little throw up come back. He is 1 lb 11 oz now but I am sure he is going to chunk up like his brother. They both look so cute and I hope that they will be able to move past the CPAP soon so that they don't have to have those big contraptions on their heads. It makes it so hard for me to see what they look like!

We heard the song "He's my Son" on the way home. As you can imagine I was pretty emotional. As I was hearing the words I couldn't help but think of the boys far away from me in their incubators, wanting to take their place, take their pain, wishing it would all be over soon so I could hold them how I wanted, when I wanted, at home. When I looked this video up though it gave me a whole new perspective. Our situation at times seems like it can't get worse to me, and then I watched the video and felt totally humbled. Can you imagine having to watch your child be tortured like that?! And beat... unaware of the outcome! How amazing that it was all done for us... so that we may have everlasting life. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord.... I know that my sons are in the hands of God, which there is no better place for them to be! If you have a minute please watch this video.

ReplyDeleteWe're so grateful for their progress. You both probably have your moments of doubt and panic, but as you write your thoughts, it is so evident where your faith and trust is. We are praying for His continued presence of peace in your hearts, Caleb and Ashley. I did watch the video, with tears flowing. The backdrop being The Passion completely changed how I had always "heard" the lyrics. He is an amazing King and loving Abba Father. ReplyDeleteThere are times in life when we all face situations that seem impossible. It’s easy to get discouraged and think that things won’t ever work out. But the Scripture tells us that God goes before us and makes our crooked places straight. In other words, even though you may not have the connections you need right now, you don’t have to worry. God is going before you lining up the right people, arranging the right breaks, and setting up the right opportunities. He is preparing the way for victory!
Today, if you are facing difficulty, don’t fall into the temptation to get negative and sour. That adversity is no a surprise to God. He’s not up in the heavens scratching His head and thinking, “Oh, no. Now what am I going to do?” No, He already has every day of your life written in His book. Before you had that problem, God already had the solution. He is going before you right now preparing the next chapter of your life. Stay in faith and keep the right attitude because He is moving you forward into the victory He has prepared for you!
